New Google My Business Competitor: Apple Maps
Apple recently announced it will allow a small selection of users leave reviews and upload photos for businesses.

One aspect Apple appears committed to is quality. All photos uploaded will be reviewed by a human.
A more curated user experience.
That's one big weakness of GMB, and a common complaint of business owners:
The low quality (and often not relevant) photos that can be uploaded by customers.
As a business owner or marketer what should you do about these new Apple Map features?
Because the features haven't completely rolled out, you shouldn't create any marketing strategies around Apple Maps.
However, if you haven't you should take a few steps today:
Add your business to Apple Maps
Fill out all information for your biz
Monitor your listing every month to see if you have any reviews
One last general piece of marketing advice:
Whoever is an early user of on an online platforms typically reaps the most benefits ($$$). This applies to social media like Facebook and Instagram, and review sites like GMB and Yelp. When the opportunity comes, get ready to take advantage of Apple Maps, you will be a year or two (or several) ahead of your competitors.
